Sugar Detox Challenge!

Hi Every Body!

Several of you have mentioned an interest in uniting for a Sugar Detox Challenge...during the holidays! Although this not an easy undertaking, it may make all the difference for you in your fitness goals and re: NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS when January 1, 2012 rolls around. YOU may not need any! If you are interested, please contact Gina at gcorry2527@hotmail.com! She would love to share details about this independent challenge.

As you are probably aware, I don't advocate participating in trendy, non-sustainable diet or exercise fads. However, I can support a periodic cleanse or detox. It might be just what is needed for a healthy living jump start. Just be wise about choosing a plan that works best for you and your body! If you are under a doctor's care for any condition, please seek her/his advice before joining others in this endeavor.

BE FIT News! Oct. 2011

Hi Again!

Just want to make you aware of some new updates to the BE FIT with Jolie routines/procedures:

Weekly Friday Posts on the Blog:
I have heard from some who have registered for FIT for ALL Saturday classes only, that you need an email or other ways feel you are in the loop of communication. Since some don't have text plans for their phones, I will post a weekly Friday update on the blog. It will include info about what to bring for Saturday class and BE FIT news including nutritional tips/recipies, workout suggestions & inspirational thoughts. All you'll need to do isSIGN UP TO BE A FOLLOWER. That way you will get the info only if you want it!

Saturday Classes:
I've just recieved word that Westlake is NOT available for indoor training until the Saturday AFTER THANKSGIVING! So...here is the plan: We will meet at Avondale at 7 for classes until then (Note - We will start at 7 at Avondale...not 7:30). STILL...bring sweats for outdoor training in case we need to go outside for part of the workout!

T/TH 5 am class BECOMES 5:30 am BOOTCAMP Beginning November 1st!!:
Due to Popular Demand...we are going to try something new on Tues/Thurs am to meet your needs even better. Personal Coaching with LIZ from 5-5:30 for up to 4 who sign up with her the night before. This will still cost one punch since it is designed to be focused on a small group. Liz will begin the large group class at 5:30 and it will now be BOOTCAMP!

Great KRISTI APPROVED Pumkin Waffle Recipe!

Here's a nutritious recipe to try with your family from KRISTI and TRISH!

Pumpkin Waffles:

1/3 cup oats (raw measure)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
zero carb/cal sweetener of choice
2 TB plain canned pumpkin
1 TB low fat or fat free cottage cheese
1 TB protein powder
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3 egg whites
1TB sugar free syrup

Blend all dry ingredients to a smooth flour texture. Combine dry and wet ingredients and blend to smooth batter texture. Spray waffle maker with cooking spray. Cook waffles as desired and top with cinnamon & syrup.

Presentations, Training & Class Schedule While I'm Gone!

I am still in awe at the response to my 12 week challenge. You all are absolutely amazing to me! You have inspired me to be a little better...and do a little better to live up to your anticipation of what is possible!

Here is the plan for future presentations, Menu of Exercises Training, & my time away in Mississippi :)

Monday 9:00 - 12 Week Challenge Kick Off - Presentation for those who were unable to attend on Saturday.

Monday 10:00 am - Menu of Exercises Training Bring your CHALLENGE BINDER!

Tuesday 7:00 pm - Menu of Exercises Training (for those who can't attend a morning session) BRING YOUR CHALLENGE BINDER!

I'll teach classes as usual on Monday (5/9) and Wednesday (5/11).
I leave for Mississippi on Wednesday afternoon (5/11).

WHILE I'M AWAY...Melissa or Liz WILL RUN A LIMITED CLASS SCHEDULE:
WEEK #1: MONDAY 5 am CIRCUIT only!
WEDNESDAY 6 am - PHAT TRAINING only!
FRIDAY 5 am - CIRCUIT only!
SATURDAY 7 am is still on at Westlake! (If that changes, the FIT FOR ALL
class will be held at Avondale.)
WEEK #2: MONDAY 5 am - HEAVY 3 Sets only!
WEDNESDAY 6 am - PHAT TRAINING only!
FRIDAY 5 am - HEAVY 3 Sets only!
SATURDAY 7 am - FIT FOR ALL at Westlake!

If you are concerned that you will be unable to get your challenge workouts in with a limited class schedule, be sure to come to the Menu of Exercises Training either Monday (5/11) @ 10 am or Tues (5/10) @ 7 pm! Then you will be ready to do your workouts independently whenever or wherever you wish! Don't forget to bring your CHALLENGE BINDER!

Commit to Be Fit - 12 WEEK CHALLENGE FAQ's

The Commit to Be Fit - 12 Week Challenge kick off is only 5 days away! This special event celebrates 1 year and 100 Members! THANK YOU for your continued support! I know that many of you still have questions about the details. Here are a few answers to questions that have been frequently asked:

Q: Do I have to attend the Kick Off to Commit on Saturday, May 7th to join the challenge?
A: No, but you'll definitely miss out! Not only will you miss the Kristi Approved team and important details of the challenge, you'll miss the open options available from 9-10. This is where you could get baseline weight & measurements, a before photo, and hair & make-up Tips for Hot Mamas from professional photo shoot stylist - Leisa Higbee just in time for Mother's Day! (We will have a drawing at the beginning of our 6:30 am work out for anyone interested in winning the opportunity to be the Leisa's model for the day.) However, If you can't make it, Jolie will provide a shortened version of the kick off on Monday morning, May 9th at Avondale (immediately after the 8 AM Strength Circuit Class).

Q: Will we miss out on our Saturday work out?
A: NO! Jolie will provide the 6:30-7:30 am workout - beginning at Westlake High School. We will transition over to Avondale (either drive or run) to begin the kick off presentation at 8:00 am.

Q: Do I need to bring a snack since I may be starving after the work out?
A: Kristi, Trish & I will provide a Kristi Approved meal (apple, string cheese & water:) but you are welcome to bring anything you'd like to re-hydrate and replenish so you can focus for the hour presentation.

Q: What will the Commit to Be Fit 12 Week Challenge cost?
A: There will be THREE OPTIONS available:

Option #1 w/ Kristi Approved nutrition/meal plan: $150.00 includes (1) Commit to Be Fit - 12 Week Workout Plan; (2) Before & After weigh/measure/photos; (1) Kristi Approved 12 Week Nutrition/Meal Plan; (1) Commit to Be Fit - Ignite the Fire Tee Shirt (for our benefit bike/run challenge); (2) Fuel the Flame - Book Club/Support Group sessions; Discounted 20 Punch Pass ($70 during the challenge instead of $80!); Fit & Fabulous Awards & Poolside Party!

*Kristi and Trish will be bringing Vanilla Stevia ($13.99) AND Cocoa & Vanilla Protein Powder ($25.99/tub) for purchase if you want to get them while you are at the kick off. Otherwise, similar brands are available (higher priced) at Good Earth, Whole Foods or Sunflower Market.

Q: How will you track progress during the challenge?
A: You and a self-selected workout partner will track your points each week and hold each other accountable by signing off on a weekly partner journal (provided in the package). You will receive (5) points for each independent 30 minutes cardio or strength training session (up to 90 minutes total per day - following the prescribed plan in the packet). If you attend one of our Be Fit Classes, you will receive (5) additional points for that same workout.
You will also receive (10) points per day for following/recording your meal plan participation as prescribed. Partial meal plan participation for the day is only worth (5) points. Attendance at Fuel the Flame Support Sessions will be worth (10) points each. Signing at least 5 sponsors @ $1/mile & participation in the Be Fit Benefit Bike/Run Challenge will earn you (50) points.

Q: Will there be any prizes for participants?
A: Yes! I am working on getting prizes set for a Highest Points Winner, an Ignite the Fire Winner, and an I've changed my Life Winner. Each will win a make over & head shot photo shoot as well as other prizes I can't reveal at this time :) EVERYONE will receive a Trainer's Award - based on personal goals and triumphs!
